Why We Love It
Three seconds after putting on the Bedphones, we honestly couldn’t feel them at all. The memory wire earhook system fits to all sorts of funny shaped ears and make Bedphones simple to put on and take off. We could never give away our noise-isolating buds on the subway, when blocking out offensive noises is just as important as bumping tunes, but in the quiet comfort of the bedroom there’s just no way we would choose anything but Bedphones. It’s also entirely possible that you find Bedphones to be so comfortable, you -gasp!- make them your primary headphones. The design lends itself to lots of other cases, too, when traditional models can be uncomfortable, sweaty, and even dangerous. A friend of ours took Bedphones home for the weekend and tested them out in all sorts of situations:
“Normally I don’t wear headphones when I’m biking, because it tends to be quite dangerous. But I felt totally comfortable wearing Bedphones because I could hear traffic around me as well as my music, and they hooked easily and comfortably under my helmet. When I got home, I started in on dishes without taking them off, and actually heard my roommate walk come in the front door over the sink and the music. By now I’d had them on for 2 hours and they were still light on my ears and I wasn’t sweating them off, even in a hot tiny Brooklyn kitchen. When it was time to hit the sack, I finally got the chance to try out the sleep timer on my phone, and drifted off while Gary Shteyngart read to me Lorrie Moore’s ‘Paper Losse’.”
